So; Newton's 2nd Law is the best fit for this question:
F = ma, here F is a vector, mass is just a scalar(number), therefore, a(acceleration) is also a vector. Vector/Scalar = Vector
F1 + F2 = F(net) = (3-5, 4+6) = (x1+x2, y1,y2) = (-2, 10)
F(net) = ma then, Acceleration = F(net) /m= (-2/2, 10/2) = (-1, 5)
So, a(x,y) = (-1,5) m/s2
