To find the x-coordinate of center of mass we will use the formula
xcm = (x1m1 + x2m2 + x3m3) / M
Similarly
ycm = (y1m1 + y2m2 + y3m3 ) / M
M = m1 + m2 + m3 - the total mass of the system of 3 particles.
Now put the numbers and get the answer. If my calculator is not mean to me on Sunday, your answers should be
xcm = - 4.9 m ycm = - 0. 09 m
I believe you misspelled one word. The rods must be massless.
