question 2 is a strange one because there are many possible answers. The easiest is to see that first you add 4, then you add 6, then you add 8.... This could be changed into an algebraic expression if needed
the rest of the questions require binomial expansion, and if you have done "combinations," then the answers are simple. If you are not familiar with "nCr" then I am not sure how you are expected to answer-- can you say briefly how you are supposed to answer these?--Andrew
