Determine the volume flow rate and velocity of water

A hose is connected to a faucet and used to fill a 3L container in a time of 45s

Determine the volume flow rate in m^3/s

Determine the velocity v2 of the water in the hose if the hose has a radius of 2cm

I convert to cubic meters and divide that by the time to get volume flow rate but it says it's incorrect

Let's see what you did wrong. First of all, perhaps you misdid the L-> m^3 conversion. A L is 10 cm cubed. So there are 10 x 10 x 10 =1000 L in 1 m^3.

So 3L/45 s = 3 * 10^-3 m^3/45 s = ???? Look like 3.33 * 10^-5 m^3 s^-1. Is that what you got, and the stated answer (they may possibly have rounded it to something else; I would take 3L and 45 s to be exact numbers and use a reasonable number of significant figures, myself. As I did.)

That should get you started, anyway.
