How many cups of tea did each have

A cafe age sold tea at 30 cents a cup and cakes at 50cents each. Everyone in a group had the same number of cakes and the same number of cups of tea. The bill came out to $13.30. How many cups of tea did each have?

Answer 1

Every person spent some multiple of 80 cents. There are NO multiples of 80 that = 13.30.

 

Since the number of people in the group is the same as the number of cups of tea, this problem has no solution. The number of cups MUST be a positive integer!
