I genuinely love teaching Calculus and have for 10+ years.
ap Calculus please explain
The second derivative of the function f is given by f''(x)=x(x-a)(x-b)^2. The graph of f'' is shown above. For what values of x does the graph of f have a point of inflection?
how do I upload the image (graph)?
Hello Galang,
At points of inflection, the 2nd derivative = 0. Solve for x. Omit b from solutions since it is even multiplicity.
Inflection at x = 0 and x = a
