Enteric coated medications (aspirin) protects the stomach lining by their enteric coats. These coats are broken down in the acidic environment of stomach under the action of HCL, and the drugs will be absorbed via small intestine. Any drug which decreases the GI absorption will decrease the bioavailability of other drugs.
