Verify that the equation is an identity. Show that (cosθ)/(secθtanθ) = 1+(sinθ). Please show all steps and the rules that apply to them.

The way I read it, it is not an identity. Just consider what happens when θ approaches 0. The right hand side goes to 1, while the left hand side goes to infinity.

This is not an identity. For the left side, I ended up with (1+sinθ)(1-sinθ)(cotθ) and (1-sin θ)(cot θ) is not equal to 1.
