Free Fall Question

If a drop of rain falls from a height of 2400 meters and hits the ground in 192 seconds, was it in free fall?

Michael M.

By free fall I think they mean it's falling at -9.8m/s^2. Solve for the acceleration. If the acceleration is close to -9.8m/s^2 then the rain drop is in free fall.
