I’ve been playing tournament poker for over 15 years. Based on my experience, here are my answers:
1. They say that rebuys don’t count as entries and therefore have no influence on number paid places. I think that is wrong, an entry is an entry.
ANSWER: Rebuys do count as entries and are counted as paid places.
2.They introduce an add on at the end of the rebuy period with 3 times the starting stack for the same money. I say that is wrong, because it creates an inflation. They say that's normal.
ANSWER: Rebuys are normal. It increases the prize pool and provides a stack boost to players going forward. I’m not sure about the amount of the rebuy being 3 time the starting stack, but that is a decision for the host of the tournament.
3.Blinds are doubling instead of rising with every level...
ANSWER: Blind schedules are established by the tournament host (i.e. house). It would not be unusual for blinds to double at some point with every level.
I hope this helps.
