There are a variety of Dopamine receptors (D1, D2 e.t.c.). Depending on location (peripheral or central) antagonism/agonism can produce varying responses( vasodilation, antiemesis).
Dopamine receptors are drug targets for neurological disorders such as Parkinson's as well as in some psychiatric disorders(anti-psychotics).
The receptors have varied effects and mastering them requires a bit of focus/guidance to permit an appreciation geared towards minimizing errors/adverse effects with our choosen therapy.
