Yes? I think you forgot to upload the question but yes a compass needle is magnetic as a magnetic compass relies on the fact that magnetic objects align themselves within magnetic fields in this case the Earth's. They are typically made of a metal which can be magnetized for extended periods of time (or even permanently) such as steel (which contains iron a ferromagnetic element).
