Here's some advice to help you answer this question.
Sine functions are of the form y=asin(bx+c)+d. That means that for your equation: a=1, b=3, and c=pi/4. The amplitude is |a|, the period is 2pi/b, and the phase shift is c. If c is positive, then the phase shift is to the left; if c is negative, then the phase shift is to the right.
