23^2 = 12^2 + 18^2 -2(12)(18)cosB

-432cosB = 529-144-324= 61

cosB = -61/432 = -0.14

B =98.12 degrees


sinA/12 = sinB/23 = .99/23 = .043

sinA = 12(.043) = .517

A = 31.10 degrees

C = 50.78 degrees

Agreed with 98.9 degree angle by applying Law of Cosines! Checking the answer for reasonableness: The sides 12, 18, 23 are 'too similar' for one angle to measure only 2 degrees. Applying Law of Sines and Algebra, the angles are approximately 98, 31, and 51.
