the school that jacob goes to is selling tickets to a fall musical. on the first day of ticket sales the school sold 9 senior citizen tickets and 12 child tickets for a total of $126. the school took in $84 on the second day by selling 13 senior citizen tickets and 1 child ticket. find the price of a senior citizen ticket and the price of a child ticket

9S +12C = 126 subtract to eliminate one variable

147S =882

S = 882/147 = $6 for a senior ticket

C = 84 -13S = 84 - 78 = $6 for a child ticket
