In your "generic transformation equation" g(x) = A•f(x + B) + C, the "A" is the vertical stretch (so A = 7). The "B" is the horizontal translation and is always read opposite of what it appears (so shifting right by 2 means B = -2). And the "C" is the vertical shift (so C = 8)
