The easiest way to see this is to graph it...although the answer is obvious algebraically too.
r= 2+.5sqrt(2)
and theta = 3pi/4 7pi/4

Yeah, I made a mistake!! Plug 3pi/4 into r=2+sin(theta)...to get 2-.5sqrt(2).
