Without seeing the diagram, 2<AD<8
AD can't be 8 or more, And can't be 2 or less.
IF AD=8, the quadrilateral would become a triangle
IF AD =2, the quadrilateral would become a triangle.
You could guess AD=5 and not be off by more than 3
