Becoming a tutor

I signed up and was wondering how do I become a tutor and is there any prerequisites?

Sapna pretty much said it all, but of course you want to spread the word once you have been qualified in your subjects. Make sure that your profile introduction sounds inviting and is created so that people want to stop and look. Once you're ready to go, make sure to answer any inquiries in a timely manner; people like it when you answer quickly. Good luck!

Hi Mae! Thanks for sharing your question. Congrats on signing up and deciding to tutor! Tutoring is such a rewarding experience. To become a tutor on Wyzant, you can create and build a profile and begin by selecting subjects that you would like to teach. Most have associated quizzes that you need to pass on the first try in order to qualify to tutor in, so take your time. Other subjects require that you write your qualifications (e.g. degrees, awards, certifications, experience, etc.) and Wyzant may approve it. And, in general, Wyzant will need to approve your entire profile (e.g. bio, profile pictures, etc.). Other than that, and being of age, there are no other prerequisites! It took me about a week to onboard and I began tutoring instantly!
