Alan has three more than twice as many flowers as does Alice and half as many flowers as Nadia. if Alice has n flowers, then in terms of n, how many flowers do Alan, Alice, and Nadia have in total?

X = 3+2Y

X =Z/2

Y = n

X=3+2n

Z=2X = 2(3+2n) = 6 +4n

total = X+Y + Z = 3+2n + n + 6 +4n = 7n + 9
