Hello, Nadia,
I had submitted an answer earlier, but I don't see it. I'm adding it again - sorry if it is a duplicate.
We want to know how long we can rent the bike if we only have $93. The cost of the rental can be calculated by multiplying the hourly rental by the hours rented. We'll set that equal to whats left of the $93 after subtracting $16 for the initial fee. That leaves $77 for additional hours.
$77.00 = 7.00*x, where x is hours.
We have enough money for 11 hours.
But we need to be careful here. The initial fee includes an hour, so the total hours that the bikecan be rented before running out of money is 11 + 1 = 12 hours.. The total cost is a maximum of $93, our life savings.
16 + 7*11 = 93
