p(x) = x3 - 3x2 - 50
p(5) = 0 So, x - 5 is a factor of p(x).
Divide p(x) by x - 5 to get p(x) = (x - 5)((x2 + 2x + 10)
Use the quadratic formula to find the roots of the second factor (they are complex numbers).
