Newton's 2nd law says Force = mass times acceleration (F = ma). If both sides of this equation are divided by "a" then we get:
F/a = ma/a
F/a = m
So, since F (force) = 500 N and acceleration (a) = 10 m/s2 then:
500/10 = 50 kg
