Okay so we know that force of gravity is FG=mg
The force pulling an object down a ramp is sin(θ) times the force of gravity we will call with force Fd
so if Fd=FGsin(30) and F=ma then we can solve for acceleration by saying
FGsin(30) =ma
mg sin(30) = ma
mass will cancel out
g sin (30) = a
*on earth acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 m/s2
so
9.8 sin(30) = a
9.8 (.5)=a
4.9 m/s2 = a
