Take this simple example
if you have f(x) = mx +c
where m is the slope and c is the y intercept
3 f(x) = 3 ( m x + c)
= 3m x + 3c
you can see Both the slope and y-intercept change by a factor of 3.

asked 02/02/21A) The slope changes by a factor of 3; the y-intercept does not change.
B) Both the slope and y-intercept change by a factor of 3.
C) The slope does not change; the y-intercept changes by a factor of 3.
D) Neither the slope nor y-intercept change.
Take this simple example
if you have f(x) = mx +c
where m is the slope and c is the y intercept
3 f(x) = 3 ( m x + c)
= 3m x + 3c
