Pulley on the edge of a table

  1. You again have a 25kg block (A) resting on a frictionless table; a cord attached to the block extends horizontally to a pulley at the edge of the table. A 7 kg mass (B) hangs at the end of the cord.
  2. If block A travels 0.5 meters, what is the velocity at that location?
  3. If the hanging mass block B is able to move a total of 1.2 meters before touching the floor, how long is mass A going to be accelerating?
  4. What happens to block A once block B touches the ground? State any assumptions you made here explicitly.

A small Correction V(FA )^2 = 2*2.14*0.5 , Gives V(FA) = 1.46 m/s Read V(FA)^ 2 in place of V(FA) and then find V(FA)
