Quick Question in Physics

Question

A tuning fork has a frequency of 1.00 x 10^3 Hz. It emits sound waves of speed 340.0 m/s. How many waves are produced in 0.200 s?

Is the speed relevant in this question? How I tried solving the question as I took the time in seconds and divided it by the frequency (which I converted into seconds as well) to get a total of 200 waves. Is this wrong?

In this context, I interpret "wave" to mean "cycle". If the device produces a sound at 1 kiloHertz, then the period of the wave is 1 millisecond (1^-3 second). In 0.2 seconds, there are then 200 cycles.

The speed of sound is not relevant to this problem.
