asked 12/21/20Oil (𝜌=876 kg/m3, μ= 0.18 kg/m*s) flows steadily through a sloped pipe upward as depicted
in the Figure below. The distance between point 1 and 2 is 15 m, and the pressure at the point
1 and 2 is measured 350kPa and 180 kPa, respectively. Assume that the oil flow is laminar and
(a) calculate head loss between point 1 and 2, (b) volumetric flow rate, (c) the velocity, and (d)
verify that the flow is laminar and up.
