I couldn't tell whether there was a length requirement for your story, but I loved creating this one. One of the words listed above is not in this, so you will have to figure out which word is missing and how to add it into what I concocted.
BTW, there's a great study book called
Test of Time by Charles Harrington Elster. It's actually a novel that contains 2,000 + SAT/ACT words all written into a story, so you learn them "in context." It's fun.
After pledging an oath of allegiance to my pirate captain, I prepared to endure peril, frigid temperatures, and dismal food for our journey. In fact, I consider myself to have been quite the gallant bachelor, as I had to abandon my beloved “harem” to travel in unaccustomed hardship. This would be no easy journey. There was no place to fully recline in the lower holds, and the captain was the only one to inhabit a stateroom, a privilege he guarded with jealous ferocity. Hard tack and brackish water were bad enough. I was keen, however, to qualify to be his understudy. One never knows when one might need to conceal a corpse, which would grant me the stateroom, the treasure, and the . . . .
