A cube-shaped box

Question

A cube-shaped box has a volume of 27 cubic inches. If the box is packed full of smaller cubes with edges of 1 inch, how many cubes can fit along one side of the box?

Answer 1

Each 1" cube is equal to 1 cubic inch.

If the large cube can contain 27 cubic inches we can fit 27 of the 1" cubes in the larger box.
