I assume the sequence is: 1, √3, 3, 3√3
So to get to the next term you are multiplying by √3. That is r = √3
To find the 5th term multiply 3√3 by √3 which = 9
To find the nth term use the formula an = a1 x r(n-1)
This would give an = 1 x √3(n-1) = √3(n-1)
