I assume you want to verify that the left side equals the right side:
(secθ - cosθ)/secθ = sin2θ
secθ/secθ - cosθ/secθ = 1 - cosθ/(1/cosθ) = 1 - cos2θ = sin2θ

My guess is you mean this: (sec x - cosx)/secx , that is the first two terms are the numerator of a fraction with a denominator of sec x (I used x instead of theta). And you are asked to prove that this is an identity?11/30/20
