V = a * t + Vo
Full stop means V = 0
0 = a * t + Vo
0 = a * 2 +22
a = -11 m/s^2
X = (1/2) * a * t^2 +Vo*t+Xo
X = (1/2)*(-11)*(2)^2 + 22*2 = 22m
Takeaways from the problem:
1) Fatal error would be to assume the car travels at constant velocity. In order for a car to come to a complete stop given an initial velocity we need some type of deceleration.
2) Utilization and understanding of fundamental kinematic equations is critical. You must know the equations and under which conditions you could use them. During my tutoring sessions I emphasize the how and why, not just the plug and chug approach to problem solving :)
