linear equations going through 2 points (a,b) and (c,d)
have a line through them in point slope form: y-d = (d-b)(x-c)/(c-a)
while slope intercept form is
y = ((d-b)/(c-a))(x -d)
y = ((d-b)x/(c-a) -(d-b)d/(c-a)
where -((d-b)/(c-a))d = the y intercept
and (d-c)/(c-a) = slope
