You are 6 feet tall and you look up at the torch of the statue of liberty. If you are 10 meters away from the base and the distance from your eyes to the torch is 100 meters, find the total height of the statue?

100^2 - 10^2 = 10000-100 = 9900

hypotenuse squared minus base squared = the height squared

sqr9900 = 99.5 meters

add 6 meters, 99.5+6 = 105.5 meters tall
