Phrase your words in terms of an equation.
Y = 3.5X
where Y is total sales ($140) and X is the number of pastries. You know that to get the total (Y), the number of pastries (X) must be multiplied by $3.5/pastry. Note how the units will cancel in the end to give just pastries
$140 = $3.5/pastriX
X => 40
I used the symbol => since the question said ". . . at least $140, . . ." Anything 40 and over meets this criteria.
