If the height is low, it may touch the ground before 5sec and so acceration may be zero

Ignoring air resistance , it will be g (acceleration due to gravity), 9.81 m/s2 (this is constant whether the ball has fallen for 5 s or 2 s).
Air resistance increases as speed increases so in reality the acceleration will be slightly less than that, but unless the ball is falling for a long time usually we neglect air resistance.
