4w + 34 = 49
4w = 15
w = 3.75
The difficult thing to remember is that the uniform frame adds to the length on each end and the width of each end, so a 1-inch frame adds 2 inches to both the length and the width, or 4 inches to the perimeter.
The perimeter of the painting is 2(14) + 2(19) = 66 inches.
66 + 4f = 98
4f = 32
f = 8 in
