1024 ft above the ground. The​ object's height above ground x seconds after the fall is s(x)=1024−16x^2 .About how long does it take the object to hit the​ ground? What is the​ object's velocity at the moment of​ impact?

Well for the first solve s(x)=0 giving x = 8 s

And for the velocity use equation of motion v = u + at

u = 0 (initial velocity)

a = 32 ft/s/s (acceleration due to gravity)

t = 8 s

So 32 x 8 = 256 ft/s
