A car slows down from 45 m/s to rest in a distance of 91 m.
What was its acceleration, assumed constant?
Initial velocity = 45m/s Final Velocity = 0
Distance = 91 m
Using V = Final Velocity , U = Initial Velocity , S= distance , a= Acceleration
V2 = U2 +2aS
0= 45*45 +2a*91
a= - 45*45/2*91= -2025/182 m/s2 ( Negative means deceleration)
