How do I play this on the saxophone

Hey I really want to play the saxophone and how do I play the song careless whisper by George Michael on sax like maybe some tips and tricks thanks

Wow! What a great song to showcase your musical ability. There is no easy way to play this song. I would first just listen to the song over and over to get the tune in my head. Once you can hum the song back to yourself with no music, you have the general tune in your spirit.

If you have a good ear for music and assuming that you are familiar with all of the key notes on the sax, hum the first four notes of the sax solo, then try to play each of them slowly but not to the actual rhythm.

Repeat this process over and over until you can play the first four notes of the sax solo up to the correct speed and rhythm. Continue this same process adding four more additional notes of the solo until you have the entire sax solo mastered.

Next advise is Practice, Practice, Practice.

There are many answers to this question as it pertains to several parts of saxophone playing. The simplest way to do this is to learn it by ear. This is an invaluable skill to have as we all learn from the masters. The second part of this is the ability to write it down. Transcription is another valuable skill to have at your disposal. The third is to read it. I'm sure that this melody has been written down and one can simply learn it by reading music.

All of these are part of a total learning experience that I use in my lessons. In other words to quote the great Ernie Watts: "it doesn't matter how you get it as long as you get it."

If you have a good command of the notes on the sax and a good ear, you may be able to figure out the notes and play this song. You may be able to find the song written for saxophone by googling the name - something like 'Careless Whisper sheet music for saxophone' - maybe specify alto, tenor or soprano.
