I'm having trouble understanding the problem. You state:

"The quotient is 5 more than the radius, r, and 2."

In my mind you are saying Q = (r + 5) + 2.

This reduces to Q = r + 7 , but I suspect the question is looking for something different. Please let me know if I'm not interpreting this correctly.
