English, Reading, Writing, & College Admissions: ALL LEVELS

Hi Florissa!

When a question asks you to find the product of something, that simply means you need to multiply the numbers together.

Ex: If I asked you to find the product of 5 and 2, the answer would be the following: 5x2=10.

Ex: If I asked you to find the product of 3, 6, and 2, the answer would be the following: 3x6x2=36.

So, for your question: 4xX=4x -- translated, this means: 4 multiplied by x, and this amounts to 4x!

Hope this helps.

Best,

Maddy
