First, ask yourself what is the role of a health psychologist. Health psychologist work in schools, private practice, and companies to teach healthy behavior as well as administer test which help determine if students need to be placed in classes that are more advanced or less difficult. At times, a psychologist will talk with individuals that have personal problems that interfere with their work or school. How psychologist deal with psychological issues is a broad question. If an individual is having a personal problem they will often do therapy with the person to help them learn ways to deal with the problem they are having. We have already addressed how they would deal with issues at school based on testing. Think about all the roles a health psychologist serves and what kind of problems they might encounter.
