asked 06/24/20What is the average induced emf in the coil?
A fixed 18.0-cm-diameter wire coil is perpendicular to a magnetic field 0.60 T pointing up. In 0.12 s , the field is changed to 0.29 T pointing down

Since the area vector is perpendicular to the magnetic field, the amount of magnetic flux would be zero both at the beginning and after 0.12s. The change in magnetic flux with respect to time is 0 over the 012 s period. Average induced emf equals to the change in magnetic flux over time. Thus, the induced emf would be 0.

Hi Sir I think that the area vector is parallel to the magnetic field ,the area vector is a vector perpendicular to the surface .So the magnetic flux will be A.B cos 0, then ABcos180.then we find the change in the magnetic flux and divide it by time to calculate ( emf) .06/25/20
