If this sound happens no matter where you go and whether or not you are near a piano, you may have Tinnitus.

I think you are asking why one string will gently vibrate when you play a different note possibly while you hold the sustain pedal down. This is called sympathetic vibration. The molecules surrounding the strings of a piano are effected when the molecules vibrate and so will start other strings to vibrate in a similar fashion. This property gives an acoustic piano that unique sound that is hard to replicate in electronic pianos.

I'm not sure that I understand your question correctly, but it sounds like there might be a mechanical problem with a paddle inside the piano getting caught when another paddle is striking a string. I suggest you open the piano so that you can see the mechanisms and watch what happens as you strike the different keys to see if you can find the problem. Does that answer your question or were you asking something else?
