Assuming that the dart is hitting apple horizontally
Impact being inelastic, as dart gets embedded and the two move together,
Using conservation of linear momentum
mu= (m+M)V
m= mass of dart and M = mass of apple
u = initial speed of dart, v= speed of two together
v= mu/(m+M)
Now plug in m= 50g u= 15m/s and M= 10g
