Retired math prof. Very extensive Precalculus tutoring experience.
To find a unit vector, u, in the direction of v, divide v by its magnitude (also called the norm of the vector), ll v ll, where ll v ll = √[62 + 152] = √261 = √9√29 = 3√29
u = v / ll v ll = (6/(3√29)) i - (15 / (3√29)) j = (2/√29)i - (5/√29)j = (2√29/29) i - (5√29/29) j

Thanks for answering quickly! I have a question for the final answer. I simplified this and got (18/√29) i - (45 / √29 ) j, but none of these answers are so on the multiple choice. All 4 of the multiple choice are in the form (?√29/29) i - (?/√29/29) j but I have no idea to get there. Can you help again?05/15/20
