Hello Norleyn,
It seems that you might have seem writer's block and need to get started with a few ideas so I will make a quick comment about each. Hopefully these ideas spur some thought and further discussion with your class.
1. Feminism - There are three waves of feminism, first dating back to women's suffrage, second focusing on the Feminine Mystique and the 1970s women's liberation movement, and third what has been called to attention since the 1990s with the ever changing roles of women in society.
2. Pluralism - This is the idea that we are a melting pot and have many ideas entering into a discussion. Another analogy that has also gotten some discussion as of late is the salad bowl. Are we as it says on the money e pluribus unum a melting pot, or does each faction keep its own distinction like a salad bowl?
3. Elitism - What should we say about the upper one percent and their effect on the economy and government..Many ask the question, "Do the rich pay their fair share?" Others might retort, "Without the rich, nobody would be employed."
4. Fascism - what is more important, the individual or the society? As we cope with COVID, how much is the individual expected to acquiesce to the greater good?
5. Anarchism - Do we wish to allow lawlessness to continue? Do we tear down and eliminate law enforcement? Are the current protests an extension of the civil rights movement or anarchy?
