When you multiply by a power of ten (10, 100, 1000, etc), you move the decimal point to the right the same number of places as the number of zeroes in the power of ten. If you multiply by 10 move the point 1 place to the right; if you multiply by 100 move the point 2 places to the right; if you multiply by 1000 move the point 3 places to the right; if you multiply by 1,000,000 move the point 6 places to the right. If need be you add zeroes to the right of the number, as many as is needed.
7.5*1000=?
you move the decimal point 3 places to the right
you add 2 zeroes
7.5=7.500
7.500*1000=7,500. (the point moves to the right past the 5, past the 1st 0, and then past the 2nd 0)
you don't need the decimal point after the 7,500; I put it there to show that the point moves 3 places and ends up after the second zero (at the end of the number)
if you left the point there the answer would still be correct but it is customary to leave out the point if you have a whole number
C) 7,500 is the answer
